PLEASE NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there might be restrictions implemented depending on the number of corona cases. Currently it can’t be foreseen what the situation will be in March. We will give updates about the prerequisites to participate to the conference from january onwards.
Registration to the conference and abstract submission are two separate processes for the EOU2022 conference.
Registration fees cover the welcome reception on Monday (14th March), a get-together on the first day, attendance of scientific programme, conference materials, coffee and lunch on conference days and a field excursion on Wednesday (16th March). During registration you are required to choose which one of the excursions (if any) you wish to join.
The fee for any organized accomodation, the conference dinner on Wednesday (16th March) and any pre-congress meetings are excluded from the general registration fee. To attend these events please check the boxes during the registration process accordingly and they will be added to your check out.
Early-bird registration (registrations between the 1st August and 31st October)
- Regular – €525
- Reduced fee – €385, available for:
- Students BSc/MSc/PhD (proof of student status will need to be presented at the registration)
- Participants from lower income European countries as listed here.
- Participants from outside Europe, from countries listed within low/ lower middle/upper middle income classes in the World Bank classification
- Accompanying person – 100 Euro (includes: welcome reception and field excursion)
Please note that the number of reduced fee participants is limited to 150 and will be allocated based on order of registration. After this number is hit all participants will have to pay the regular registration fee, so early registration is advisable.
Late registration (registration after 1st November and before 31st January)
- Regular – €575
- Reduced fee – €435
- Accompanying person – 150 Euro (includes: welcome reception and field excursion)
Cancellation of registration must be made in writing (email) to the local organisation team ([email protected]) posted 3 weeks before the event. No fees will be refunded after this date. A processing fee of EUR 50 will be deducted from all refunds.
Accommodation in Hostel Wetzlar
Giessen offers lots of possibilities for accommodation.To make your trip easier during time of Covid, we prebooked the complete Hostel Wetzlar, 15km out of town. The Hostel offers three different types of rooms ranging from 27/night/person to 35/night/person and includes breakfast. In order for you to reach the congress location a shuttle service was organized. This accomodation is only available for four nights (14th-18th March). For more information check out Accomodation.
